You might not have $1 to give each day, but I bet you can raise it. From lemonade stands and bake sales to car washes and garage sales, you can help raise awareness and funds for those living on less than $1/day.
Some of our high school students have organized ultimate Frisbee
tournaments, ice cream socials and benefit dinners for ASAP.
Even our youngest ASAP supporters are finding creative ways to
raise money for those living on less than $1/day.
In fact, last spring a fifth grade student from Columbus, Ohio
decided she wanted to make a difference in the world. Through
her own ambition and initiative she envisioned, organized and
carried out a fashion show for her fellow classmates at her
elementary school. She designed and made the t-shirts; sold
tickets for entrance to the show; had her friends model her designs
and then raffled them off. At the end of the day she had
raised $150.
