You might not have $1 to give each day, but I bet you can raise it. From lemonade stands and bake sales to car washes and garage sales, you can help raise awareness and funds for those living on less than $1/day.
Some of our high school students have organized ultimate Frisbee tournaments, ice cream socials and benefit dinners for ASAP. Even our youngest ASAP supporters are finding creative ways to raise money for those living on less than $1/day.
In fact, last spring a fifth grade student from Columbus, Ohio decided she wanted to make a difference in the world. Through her own ambition and initiative she envisioned, organized and carried out a fashion show for her fellow classmates at her elementary school. She designed and made the t-shirts; sold tickets for entrance to the show; had her friends model her designs and then raffled them off. At the end of the day she had raised $150.
